Today is Wednesday, which means it’s time for the Inspirational word of the week.
Tenacious: (adj) 1)Cohesive 2) persistent 3)forceful 4) stubborn
This word came up a couple of times this week.
The first was when my darling husband Blake was looking at stand-up jet-skis on-line. He found one that had the words LIVE Tenacious spray painted on the side. He asked me “What does ‘tenacious’ mean?” I answered “stick to it. Dont’ give up. go after it. You know like Jack Black and the Tenacious D ”
Later that day, we were out on the boat with Garrett when the word Tenacious came up again. I wish I could remember exactly what was said, but I do know it had something to do with Tootsie going after her stick out in the water. She loves the stick and will retrieve it over and over and over again!! She is tenacious!!!! Over the past 5 years, we have spent hours and hours throwing a stick for her. Sometimes we can’t find any sticks so, fortunately she has also developed a passion for rocks! We’ll throw a rock about the size of my fist into the shallow part of the shore. Tootsie will then push it and pull it with her front feet, her tongue sticking out and her tail wagging in circles, creating hours of entertainment for her and us. (I’ll get some video of this soon to share with you, my friendly blog reader. You’ll love it!!)
Finally, somehow over the weekend, I managed to lose one of my favorite earrings. My husband had bought them for me while we were living in Mexico (back in 2004) , and I hadn’t taken them out since.
Just yesterday, as I was putting laundry into the washing machine, I looked down on the floor in the laundry room and there it was!!!!! I found it!!!! My tenacious searching paid off!!!
So now, my friendly blog reader, I must get to work on something special for you*. I’ve been working on putting this together for a while and I know that once you see it, you’ll really love it and want to share it with your friends too.
But it’s only through tenaciously working on taking pictures, downloading and writing, that I’ll be able to have this finished.
I hope you have a wonderful week!
