Today is Wednesday, which means it’s time for the Inspirational word of the week.

Benefit:(noun) advantage 2. a gift  3. a public performance or gathering to raise money for a charitable cause.  (verb) 1. to do good or be of service  2. to make improvement.

(I believe this word is EXTRA powerful because it’s a noun AND a verb!)

My friend, Sian Jasso just lost her husband John on Monday. (Take a look at this link here to read the obituary). He was only 35 years old. The family doesn’t have medical insurance, so now my friend has to pay those bills on top of losing her husband. Fortunately, the Credit Union where Sian works is helping to keep an eye on their three kids as well as organizing a Spaghetti Dinner, bake sale and silent auction at the Edna Burton Senior Center on December 19th from 1-5pm to benefit Sian and her family.  If you, my friendly blog reader, would like to help by making a donation, please contact Donna Janiczek at the Clarkston Brandon Credit Union Ortonville branch (248) 627-9944.

Speaking of doing good and being of service.…….

Heidi over at Heidi’s Aardvark Essentials Lotions makes magical potions to help with mixed up emotions! aardvark-lotions Heidi is a massage therapist, as well as potion maker, so she totally understands the healing benefits of touch and aromatherapy. Each of her potions is made from organic, wild-crafted or farm select essential oils with no synthetic additives, fillers or chemical imitations. With a shea-butter cream base, they’re very smooth and glide onto your skin without being slippery. I’ve been using her potions for quite a while and my two favorites are Sassypants (for Balls when you need them) and Losing it (for when you want calm and strength).  Go check out the link above. You won’t be disappointed. (don’t forget to tell Heidi that Pam sent you!!)

p.s. I’ll be back on Monday with the Inspirational song of the week.

In response to the stormy seas of life, my husband Blake and I have created this website to be a Current of Inspiration, a wave of love and joy to wash away hate and fear. By posting every week, it's our commitment to making our world a better place. We hope you find it uplifting and will share it with your friends! Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
