BB&E, CreekFest update

I know I told you I was stepping back from my DDA responsibilities as Promo chair, but if you remember, I ALSO told you that I was still going to do a bit of volunteering. After all, I still live here and love these events. Not to mention all the people!!

This is going to be a very busy weekend!!

The Ortonville Lions CreekFest Carnival starts today, Thursday and will run through Sunday.

Then Friday at the BB&E, CreekFest kicks off with the crowning of the King and Queen. It’s also a kids night, so we’ll have lots of entertainment, including Michigan’s Family Funny Man, Joel Tacey. Don’t miss his 45Joel Tacey @ BB&E comedy routine followed by his stilt-walking through the park. The kids just love him!

Dinner is being put on by a new vendor, the Sundance Grill from Metamora. I haven’t eaten there yet, but their reviews look fantastic!

I’ll be there selling You’re the Boat, the Tibetan prayer flags and I might even bring my massage chair. (We’ll have to see how I’m feeling by then!)  I’ll definitely bring my Bra hat so I can do the 50/50 raffle. Remember, tickets cost $1 a piece or  10 for $5. Half the money goes to the winner and the other half goes to pay for the Desert Angel packing boxes.  (Next week is the Desert Angel packing night at the BB&E, so you can bring in donations and help fill boxes. Dinner will be put on by another new dinner vendor. Order Up has a catering truck and will be serving something delicious!!)

CreekFest starts Saturday morning with the vendor market from 10am til 4pm, followed by a HUGE parade starting at 10am. New volunteer Randy Adam has been collecting tons of participants including fancy cars, Senator Dave Robertson and a special guest from Michigan Outdoor Adventures!

There will also be bed races, shows and music!!

In response to the stormy seas of life, my husband Blake and I have created this website to be a Current of Inspiration, a wave of love and joy to wash away hate and fear. By posting every week, it's our commitment to making our world a better place. We hope you find it uplifting and will share it with your friends! Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
