True perfection seems imperfect.

*This passage comes from the Tao Te Ching*

“True perfection seems imperfect , yet it is perfectly itself. True fullness seems empty, yet it is fully present.

True straightness seems crooked. True wisdom seems foolish. True art seems artless.

The Master allows things to happen. She shapes events as they come. She steps out of the way and lets the Tao speak for itself.”

sacred pondI like this passage because it reminds me to stop trying to control everything (which I have a tendency to do). Basically, let go and let God.

My mind likes to try to convince me that there’s always more I should be doing, (Jen Louden calls this the Hounds of More) but the truth is, my life and energies will best be served when I focus on being exactly where I am, fully present and aware of what I’m doing.

When I follow my heart and offer it my full attention, I am doing enough.

What about you, my friendly blog reader

How are YOU doing?

I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments below.

In response to the stormy seas of life, my husband Blake and I have created this website to be a Current of Inspiration, a wave of love and joy to wash away hate and fear. By posting every week, it's our commitment to making our world a better place. We hope you find it uplifting and will share it with your friends! Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
