This is a small part of a bigger talk given by Dr. Wayne Dyer not too long after the Heaven’s Gate tragedy.
He talks about the 3 things that separate self-actualizers (people who express their full potential) from normal folks.
1) independent of the good opinion of other people. They march to their own drummer.
2) detached from outcome. They’re more interested in the process than the prize at the end.
3) not interested in power, but rather they are “being” on purpose. They do what they do because of who they are, not to impress, manipulate or control other people.
As we go through today, let’s keep these three ideas in mind. Not judging or criticizing ourselves, just paying attention to how we spend our time and attention in order to offer our fullest potential. That’s the most important step to becoming self-actualized.
I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments below, my friendly blog reader! Whether it’s a good opinion or not!
Have a marvelous day!
