“Meditation is all about the pursuit of nothingness. It’s like the ultimate rest. It’s better than the best sleep you’ve ever had. It’s a quieting of the mind. It sharpens everything, especially your appreciation of your surroundings. It keeps life fresh.” Hugh Jackman
Like walking on a moving ship, adjusting your attitude takes constant practice. It requires you to consistently focus on yourself and how you’re managing your life. Admittedly, it’s hard with all the distractions these days, but your quality of life depends on it. Meditating helps, a LOT! And so does getting your basic needs met (it’s hard to feel good when you’re hungry, or have to pee). Remember, having fun makes you stronger, too! Focusing on yourself does NOT make you arrogant or narcissistic. Fortifying yourself is your most basic responsibility. Nobody else can know you, and what you need, as well as you do.
So, my friendly blog reader…How are you feeling these days?
Are you appreciating your surroundings?
What are you doing to keep yourself balanced and happy?
I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments below.
