Do you give your passion the time and attention it deserves, or do you keep shoving it down because it’s embarrassing or inconvenient?
Feeling exhausted, cynical or hopeless are all signs that you’ve been fighting to hide your passion. If you want to feel better, (really want it, not just giving it lip-service) you need to step out of your comfort zone and follow your passion.
Whether it’s convenient or not doesn’t really matter.
Your passion isn’t interested in keeping you safe or comfortable.
Your passion’s main purpose it to make sure you get every opportunity to grow and develop yourself so that your life can be fulfilling and over-flowing with love, joy and all the good things staying comfortable won’t bring you.
Sure, it’s awkward sometimes. Following your passion is almost guaranteed to make other people squirm.
That’s not your problem.
YOUR job is to follow your passion.
Find out what lights you up, makes you curious and then chase after it. Allow the energy from it to help move you out of that horrible, cynical stuck place of fear, shame and anxiety. The energy of your passion can pull you out of that pit of despair, but first you have to reach for it.
Your passion is a gift that helps you unwrap your life. Don’t waste it.
