“The family is the first essential cell of human society” Pope John XXIII
I had the extreme pleasure to attend my cousin’s wedding reception in Sacramento this past weekend. It was nice getting a chance to defrost, flying out of snowy, cold Michigan.
My son and I took a flight out Friday morning and spent a whirlwind weekend partying and playing with my Mom’s side of the family. My heart and soul were absolutely full to bursting seeing family members again.
Thanks to my new phone, I was able to capture some of the fun.
And I’m so grateful for my niece Mollie Gade, who took some really fabulous shots with her professional camera.
Check out this picture of me and my sister! WOW! I’m hiring Mollie next time I’m in California!
Although the trip was short, the time spent with my peeps was precious and will sustain my soul for a long while to come. I’m so happy for my Cousin Scott and his new bride Sara. They (and their parents) put together a beautiful event. The love emanating from these two people was infectious to all of us.
“Love one another and help others to rise to the higher levels, simply by pouring out love. Love is infectious and the greatest healing energy.” Sai Baba
I hope you’ve been inspired by the love you’ve seen here today, my friendly blog reader.
Are you looking forward to an opportunity to get together with your family?
I’d love to read about it in the comments below.
p.s. I’m especially happy to have shared the Stretch with a couple of my cousins. Good times!!!
