This project lives in the entryway of my home. I made it while we were still living in Mexico, back in 2004. After flying back to Michigan for a long weekend and looking at 16 different houses in one day, we bought the house in Ortonville, and then traveled back to Queretaro to finish packing up before moving into our new home a month later.
I made this project to be both a blessing and a protector of our new home. After the mental anguish I’d been going through while living in Mexico, I wanted to give myself, and my family, a healthy reminder to focus on the love we have for each other.
“Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible, it cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any material possession could.” Barbara de Angelis
Although we’ve had our share of issues over the last few years, I’m happy to say that overall, our’s is a very happy home, filled with love and appreciation. We are so very blessed.
What do you think, my friendly blog reader?
Do you have anything like this in your home? A reminder to protect your home and family with love and appreciation?
I would LOVE to see it, or hear about it in the comments below.
Have a great weekend!
