*This is part the Burlap Art video series. The one before this was “To speak well of another…”*
When I was originally making this project, there was no furniture in the house, except for the table I was working at and a couple of beds. As I mentioned in the video, between the white walls, and Blake being in Venezuela for 4 months; it felt like I was camping in someone else’s house. I couldn’t yet see how beautiful my house would become, I only knew that I was feeling lonely and stuck.
Making art gave me a way to focus on creating something beautiful to help ease the pain and loneliness I was feeling at the time. Not only did it help me feel better then, that piece of art still inspires me on a daily basis.
“Focus on what you want instead of worrying about what you think you’re stuck with.”
What do you think, my friendly blog reader?
Have you ever created something to help you through a tough time?
